You might have noticed that we are careful to stipulate that we only use "Estate Bottled" Extra Virgin Olive oil.  Why is that?

Not all olive oil is the same quality. In the past few years, as more and more producers have come into the olive oil market, many olives oils have been found to be a mix of lesser grade olive oils. In some cases, the oil they contain come from other nuts and seeds.

Here at Moo Moo Butter we have sourced our Cold Pressed Extra Virgin olive oil exclusively from an olive estate in Santiago, Chile.

The valley where the olives are grown is perfectly located between a small Pacific coastal mountain range and the larger Andes Mountains. This unique setting allows for warm days and cool nights to help produce some of the best olive oil.

Estate bottling means that the oil is pressed from olives grown at one location. Since everything from the planting, growing, harvesting and bottling happens in the same location, the quality is guaranteed.

The estate that produces our olive oil practices sustainable agricultural principles and use no chemical pesticides or fertilizers on their olives or trees.

All of this attention to detail, results in an extra virgin olive oil that is much higher (in some cases 4x as high) in polyphenols, a great source of antioxidants.

Antioxidants protect skin by limiting the production of free radicals, which can damage skin cells. Antioxidants in skin care products can do a lot for the health and appearance of your skin, including reducing the signs of aging.

We only use Extra Virgin Olive oil that has been packaged in dark glass bottles protecting it from both harmful ultraviolet rays as well as oxidation, ensuring the healthful properties are protected.
